Along with new trim options, Android Auto is now supported with the optional smartphone integration package. For the first time in the GLA, Mercedes is offering a new parking assist package that includes a surround-view camera.
2017 Detroit Auto Show Coverage
Under the hood, there are no surprises with the GLA250. The 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine carries over with 208 horsepower and 258 pound-feet of torque. Same goes for the GLA45 with its 375 hp and seven-speed Speedshift automatic transmission, although the ratios have been revised for quicker acceleration says Mercedes. On the exterior, the AMG-tuned model gets a redesigned front apron and roof spoiler lip, along with new intake grilles and standard LED headlights.
The updated vehicles should go on sale in the U.S. starting this summer.
