Vijayawada: The Cultural Centre of Vijayawada and Amaravati will be organising Amaravati Sankranti 2017, a dance festival, at Tummalapalli Kalakshetram at 5 pm on Thursday.
The programme will be held in association with the Department of Language and Culture, Vijayawada Municipal Corporation, Malaxmi Group, SH Group and Natyaswara, Hyderabad.
Speaker Kodela Siva Prasada Rao will be the chief guest and inaugurates the dance festival in which famous dancers in Bharatanatyam, Kuchipudi, Kathak, Mohiniyattam, Andhra Natyam and Alaya Nrityam will be participating.
Y Harish Chandra Prasad, founder & chief mentor, Malaxmi Group & CCVA, Dr E Sivanagi Reddy, CEO, CCVA, Golla Narayana Rao, secretary, Andhra Arts Academy, were present.
Aditi Rao (Bharatanatyam), Mythili Anoop (Mohiniyattam), Sinduja (Kuchipudi) Sarada Ramakrishna (temple dance), Pasumarthy Kesava Prasad (Kuchipudi), Bhagavatula Venkata Rama Sarma and Sowmya, Manisha Chakravarthi and Sirisha Chakravarthi (Kuchipudi) and Charitha Reya Vadrevu (Kuchipudi) will perform on various themes.
