People who hail from rural places and are doing well in cities and towns should contribute towards their villages. When that sense of helping develops, all the backward villages can grow, said Zilla Panchayat member J Yogesh.
He was speaking at the felicitation programme held for Lokesh, who was recently appointed as the IT Secretary of KPCC. Yogesh said that every individual should develop a sense of charity. “This will help the people around him. Not every rich person does charity but Lokesh, who is in a high position in Bengaluru, has donated infrastructure to the government school of his native village. Such people should increase in the society,” he said.
Kinakanahalli Rachhaiah spoke on the occasion and congratulated Lokesh on his appointment. He also praised his contributions towards the society.
Taluk Panchayat president Nanjundayya, Gram Panchayat member Putta Swamappa, Mahesh, Shivamma, Bangaraswami and others were present on the occasion.
