New Delhi: The cricket fever will not end with the conclusion of Indian Premier League (IPL) on May 21. The loyal fans can take it from the fields to big screens by watching cricketing legend Sachin Tendulkar's film "Sachin: A Billion Dreams" on May 26.
It will be the first film releasing on Friday at the end of IPL this year.
The movie will encapsulate Tendulkar's struggle and unknown and little-known facts about him.
When Sachin was approached for a biopic his first reaction was "but I am not going to act," and Tendulkar accepts that it took him a while to accept the idea of a film on his life.
On the day of song launch from his movie Sachin: A Billion Dreams, Sachin expressed his feeling and said that he never thought that 'Sachin-Sachin' chant would continue beyond his playing days and now it has now gone to the theaters for which he is very happy.
But did anyone wonder who was the first to chant "Sachin-Sachin"? For this Master Blaster, himself revealed the secret.
As per Sachin, it was his mother who started the chant to call him when he used to play in the downstairs in his building, Tendulkar revealed at the song launch of the movie.
Sachin: A Billion Dreams will show the Sachin's cricket and personal life in detail, unveiling aspects of his life, which have never been heard of or seen before.
The movie also explores the relationship of the legend to his children, the film will also have family videos that no one had access to, which are now a part of the film.
Produced by Bhagchandka of 200 Not Out and Shrikant Bhasi of Carnival Motion Pictures, it is being helmed by James Erskine.
The Film is all set to hit the theaters on May 26
