Chennai: Senior DMK leader and MLA J Anbazhagan on Friday said a competition is going on among the ruling AIADMK leaders as to who is number one '420'. He was referring to the war of words between AIADMK (Amma) sidelined deputy general secretary TTV Dinakaran and Tamil Nadu chief minister Edappadi K Palaniswami. "The 420 tag fits Dinakaran appropriate," Palaniswami said on Friday in New Delhi, when asked to comment about Dinakaran’s Thursday statement that the CM and his colleagues' action of terming his appointment illegal as 'forgery' and it would attract IPC Section 420.
Speaking about the issue today, Anbazhagan said, "a competition is going on in AIADMK on who is top 420. But the tag would fit to everyone in that party."
He also said that actor Kamal Haasan has got nothing to do with DMK working president M K Stalin's remarks on Friday, that a no confidence motion would be brought in the Assembly if needed.
"Stalin said no-confidence motion would be brought if needed, when he was asked about it during a press conference. These comments have no connection with Kamal," he said.
Lately, Kamal has been hitting out at the ruling party. On Thursday evening, he attended the platinum jubilee celebrations of DMK mouthpiece 'Murasoli' and shared the stage with Stalin and others.
