The Bentley Continental GT was unveiled at the ongoing Frankfurt Motor Show 2017. This Continental GT is the third generation model and is aimed at setting the landmark in the field of all luxury grand tourers all over again.
The 2018 Bentley Continental GT is model completely engineered and designed in the UK. According to the Chief Executive Officer of Bentley Motors, Wolfgang Durheimer, the unveiling day of the Continental GT is a defining moment for the company. He has defined the newly unveiled car as an epitome of innovation, technology and extraordinary design. With the success of the Continental branding, the company is very much optimistic that the new GT will set standards in the field of luxury and extravaganza.
The 2018 Continental GT is built on the MLB platform, which is shared from the Porsche Panamera. The front wheels are positioned slightly forward resulting in the lower body work and longer bonnet. It has a weight ratio of 53:47 on an overall kerb weight of 2,250 kgs.
The newly showcased 2018 version of the Bentley Continental GT will have only one engine option, that is, a 6.0-litre W12 engine. This engine will be capable of making a maximum power of anywhere over 626 bhp along with a maximum torque of 900 Nm. The top speed is claimed to be around 333 kms per hours along with an acceleration of 0-100 kms per hour in just 3.7 seconds.
Bentley Motors has also mentioned that it will be introducing a plug-in hybrid version of this Continental GT is the days to come. Moreover, at the showcase event, the company has even mentioned that the car is already up for bookings for the customers all over Europe. However, the deliveries will not begin until the second quarter of 2018.
