State government has urged all the government departments and their employees to use e-mail, internet, departmental websites, and other means of electronic media while conducting business within the government and with the general public.
According to an official bulletin, the department information technology & communication (IT&C), with a view to facilitate better coordination and communication among various government departments and deliver services efficiently in electronic form in the state, had set up all the basic core IT infrastructures. The state government noted that the trend in the country was also in the direction of gradually shifting the functioning government offices to paperless environment. Therefore, all administrative heads of departments (AHoDs) and heads of department (HoDs) have been requested to create facebook and twitter accounts of their departments to disseminate information on developmental activities.
Further, all the departments have been requested to keep their websites updated with the latest developmental activities. The department could also nominate a nodal officer for managing social media presence.
The details of facebook and twitter account created could be communicated to email@example.comÂ on or before October 17, 2017 for compilation.
