Pradyuman murder: 16-yr-old schoolmate held; sent in 3-day CBI remand
New Delhi, Nov 8 (UNI) The infamous Ryan International School murder case on Wednesday took a new turn with the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) detaining a 16-year-old schoolmate of victim Pradyuman Thakur for killing him.
The 11th standard boy was later produced before a Gurugram court which sent him to three-day CBI custody.
According to the CBI, the juvenile, who was not good at studies, assaulted the seven-year-old boy to create a situation in the campus, which could lead to postponement of his upcoming examination and the impending Parents-Teacher Meet.
However, the agency couldn't give any further explanation of the motive of the murder despite persistence queries of reporters during a press conference at which it announced detention which took place last night.
Asked about the role of the school bus conductor who was arrested by the Haryana police as the first accused in the case, the CBI said as of now they were focusing only on the juvenile.
