Best fruits from northern Caucasus to be exported to Qatar
Last Tuesday, the President of the Russian Republic of Ingushetia, Yunus-bek Yevkurov, and members of his accompanying delegation held a meeting with Qatari businessmen. During his meeting the president invited the Qatari businessmen to invest in some of the most promising sectors of Ingushetia’s fast-growing economy, especially in the sectors of agriculture and tourism. Ingushetia, located in the North Caucasus economic region, is the smallest and youngest republic within the Russian Federation.
“There are many opportunities for investments for Qatar in Russia in general and Ingushetia in particular,” President Yevkurov noted. Speaking toThe Peninsula
after these meetings, President Yevkurov added: “I think our visit to Qatar was very successful. Both sides are working to sign several agreements to establish bilateral cooperation very soon. We have some of the world’s best agro-products, including fruits and vegetables. Currently, we are focusing to establish cooperation in the fields of agriculture, food processing industries and tourism development.”
“We are going to export some of the best fruits and vegetables grown in the North Caucasus region to Qatar very soon.”
