When PM Modi retweeted a wedding invite
Swachh Bharat Abhiyan, which is Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s pet project, has become a national movement to clean the streets, roads and infrastructure of the country’s 4,041 statutory cities and towns.
The campaign was officially launched on October 2, 2014 at Rajghat, New Delhi and since then PM Modi has been leading the movement and appealing to people to fulfil Mahatma Gandhi’s dream of a clean India.
Many examples have come to fore reflecting a sense of maturity that has been generated within the communities through the campaign. One such example is of Akash Jain and his family.
Jain, an entrepreneur from Bengaluru, shared a picture of the wedding card of his sister’s marriage with the ‘Swachh Bharat’ logo on it.
“My father and I have been highly inspired by the Swachh Bharat initiative by PM Modi. My father specifically wanted the swachh bharat’s message and logo to be there on the wedding invitation card of my sister’s marriage on April 29, 2017. Hence I got it done,” Jain wrote on his Twitter account.

And within no time, PM Modi retweeted his tweet and even followed him back.
Surprised by the PM’s response, Jain wrote: “Tweets do come true! Never thought that this will happen in real! What a moment. PM Narendra Modi ji retweeted my tweet & followed me back on twitter. Modi ji has been an inspiration to my dad as well.”
