STs cheated by linking quota with Muslims: Diggy
Alleging that STs were meted out injustice with the TRS government’s SC, ST, BC and Muslim Reservation Bill-2017, AICC general secretary and Telangana Congress party in-charge Digvijay Singh has questioned the State government to tell as to why it linked ST reservations with Muslim reservations though there was an option for the government to implement the ST reservations by giving G.O.
Speaking to the media at Gandhi Bhavan here on Friday along with TPCC chief N Uttam Kumar Reddy, CLP leader K Jana Reddy, TPCC working president Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka, Guduru Narayana Reddy and Youth Congress State president Anil Kumar Yadav, Digvijay Singh opined that there was a danger to the Muslims as the existing 4 percent reservations may go with the TRS government’s Muslim Reservations Bill.
Targeting Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Digvijay alleged that Modi was using religion to protect his face from his failures. The people don’t need Triple Talaq and they needed employment, he said and opined that tax terrorism was increasing in the nation with the decision of give full powers to Income Tax department.
Reminding that the Congress government had not given reservations based on religion, the AICC leader made it clear that the Congress was not against the reservations. Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao was deceiving the people with false assurances. The secret friendship was going on between Modi and KCR, he alleged and said both were camouflaging the people while extending mutual help to each other.
Both BJP and TRS were trying to get political benefit by provoking both sections of the people with reservations issue, he said and asked IT Minister KT Ramarao to tell as to how Congress has become a ‘Galeez Party’? Tell TRS what sort of political party was?. Giving good conduct certificate to Uttam Kumar Reddy, the senior leader made it clear that the Party high command was happy with Uttam’s work. He said the appointment of DCC posts will be completed by May first week and the appointment of All India Committee will be completed by the end of October. (NSS)
