Aamir Khan’s ‘Dangal’ Baked In 54 Kgs To Celebrate India’s Independence: WATCH
To pay a Tribute to the 70th Independence Day of India, Dubai based bakery ‘Broadway Bakery’ has made a 54kg ‘Dangal’ inspired cake. This special customized cake was baked on request of a client.
The cake features a 4-foot-tall model of Aamir Khan as his character in Dangal movie with small sculptures of Geeta and Babita practicing wrestling in a makeshift Akhada hut. The whole team of Broadway Bakery studied Aamir Khan’s personality for over a week to feature him on an edible artwork. This ‘Dangal’ cake is the most expensive cake in the world.
The bakery company added, “The cake is 100% edible and made entirely using sugar fondant, the signature chocolate sponge, ganache, Belgian chocolate, demerara sugar and edible gold. The Signature Chocolate Cake is one of the best tasting gourmet cakes in town.”
It took cake artists at Broadway Bakery close to a month and over 1,200 man hours to bake this cake costing $40,000 (about Rs 25 lakh).
“The client wanted gold to be generously incorporated into the cake and we fulfilled the request by coating each medal with 75gm of edible gold,” the Broadway Bakery said in an official statement posted on its Facebook account. The bakers added that it can comfortably serve 240 guests.
Talking about the Aamir Khan’s ‘Dangal’, it became the first Indian movie to create history by crossing Rs 2,000 crore, marked worldwide. After 8 months of its release, people are still not tired of watching the film again and again. Amir Khan and the entire team of this film are still getting praised for their powerful performance.
