Indian and Australian cricket teams are all set to face each other in the upcoming cricket series which is to be played on Indian grounds. The series will comprise 5 One Day Internationals and 3 T20 matches.

Six months after the rancorous test series where Aussies lost the battle by 2-1, top Australian players, Steve Smith and David Warner are back in full form to take their revenge. Apart from the pride battle, the series will also mark history for the two players.

Australian Captian has played 98 ODIs so far whereas David Warner has marked his appearance in 96 ODIs and this series will set a unique record for both. Steve Smith who claims to have followed the entire India and Sri Lanka series is very confident for the India-Australia face-off.

Steve is more concerned about keeping Virat Kohli quiet. During an interview post the practice match, he said, "He is obviously a very good player and has a phenomenal ODI record. Hopefully, we can keep him quiet as much as possible in this series. If we do that then hopefully it can go a long way in us having success on this tour."

The Aussie players are equally excited about making their debut in coloured jerseys in India. In Indian Premier League, Warner plays for Sunrisers Hyderabad whereas Smith plays for Rising Pune Supergiant, where they have experienced wearing colourful costumes but apart from that, it will be the first instance for both.

After beating Sri Lanka on their home ground, Indian team is very confident and Virat has mentioned on many occasions that he is preparing the team for 2019 cricket World Cup.

For the India-Australia series, Virat will choose the players from 25-30 cricketers after testing them thoroughly. The first ODI match will take place in Chennai on September 17 followed by the second ODI in Kolkata.
