Maruti Is Making A New Petrol Engine To Rival The Competition | Will Debut With Maruti Suzuki Ciaz
Maruti Suzuki might be the largest manufacturer in the Indian sub continent but it was never the enthusiast’s favourite. Even the cars like the Maruti Suzuki Ciaz are ignored by a customer looking for performance. Almost all Maruti Suzuki cars, be it the Ciaz or the Ertiga have all created a niche for themselves but their performance has been nothing worth talking about. Well all that is going to change next year and for good. According to sources the 2018 set of Maruti Suzuki cars including the Maruti Suzuki Ciaz will come with a new Petrol engine which will deliver power in line with its rivals.
The new 1.5-litre petrol engine to debut with the Maruti Suzuki Ciaz
The new 1.5 litre petrol engine has been codenamed M15A by Maruti Suzuki. It is a four cylinder unit that will replace the existing 1.4 litre K-series engine in cars like the Maruti Suzuki Ciaz. This new engine makes about 108BHP of peak power and 138NM of torque. These figures are significantly higher than the 1.4 litre K-series engine that comes in the Maruti Suzuki Ciaz.
The Hyundai Verna and Honda City have always outdone the Maruti Suzuki Ciaz when it comes to power figures but with the new M15A petrol engine the Ciaz looks like a better package than the other two of its rivals. We just wish Maruti Suzuki brings a new more powerful diesel engine for its premium cars like the Maruti Suzuki Ciaz too which have often got a cold eye from its power hungry customers.
The new engine will find its way to the S-Cross after the Maruti Suzuki Ciaz
The new 1500cc petrol engine will also make its way to the S-Cross along with the Maruti Suzuki Ciaz in 2018 which has been a diesel only offering in India until now. This is the first time that S-Cross will come in a petrol powered unit. It seems like the Ciaz maker Maruti Suzuki has actually listened to its customer’s feedback and thrives to be the undisputed king in every field.
The new engine that will make its debut in Maruti Suzuki Ciaz in 2018 is already present in the cars that are exported to other countries from India.
