Range Rover Velar Launched at Rs. 78.83 Lakhs

Jaguar Land Rover India, the Indian arm of British luxury marquee, has finally launched the Range Rover Velar at a starting price of Rs. 78.83 Lakhs (Ex. Showroom) in the country. The Velar sits between the Range Rover Evoque and Range Rover Sport, while being introduced in both petrol and diesel fuel trims in a total of 25 variants. Deliveries of the New Range Rover Velar will begin from end of January 2018 in India and it would be at loggerheads with Porsche Macan, BMW X5 and Volvo XC60.

We are extremely delighted to bring the highly awaited and one of the most desirable SUVs with many of our customers are looking forward to own and drive.” The company has also introduced the top-of-the-line 'First Edition' at a staggering price of Rs. 1.38 Crores (Ex. Showroom). The Velar would be sold as Completely Built Unit (CBU) as per the Land Rover officials, they have received tremendous response for the SUV with 100 percent booking till March 2018.

Range Rover Velar comes with a compelling list of standard features with highly customisable options to provide a modernistic approach towards vehicle personalisation for a new Range Rover customer. Mechanically, the SUV would be available with three engine options: 2.0L 4-cylinder diesel with maximum power of 177bhp, 2.0L 4-cylinder petrol with maximum power of 247bhp and a 3.0L V6 diesel with maximum power of 296bhp. All the engines are linked to an 8-speed automatic transmission as standard. The Range Rover Velar is manufactured at the company's flagship Solihull plant in West Midlands, UK where the Jaguar F-Pace, Jaguar XE and the Range Rover Sport are also being developed.
