South Africa have won the toss and opted to bat first in the second Test in Centurion on Saturday, January 13.  Faf du Plessis had no hesitation in putting themseleves in for the second consecutive time in the three-match series.

While South Africa have replaced the injured Dale Steyn with debutant Lungi Ngidi, Inida have made three changes to their playing XI. Vice-captain Ajinkya Rahane will warm the benches once again after missing the first Test as well.

India are facing a must-win situation in the second Test after losing the first by 72 runs in Cape Town inside four days.

The team was let down by its batsmen, according to captain Virat Kohli. Indeed they were as the top-order failed in both the innings in Cape Town.
