KSO conducts scholarship test for UPSC aspirants
KANGPOKPI | Feb 10 : A scholarship test for UPSC aspirants was successfully conducted today, organised by Kuki Students’ Organisation (KSO) in collaboration with G.S Score, a Delhi based Civil Services Institute.
The test was held across four states in north-eastern region, namely Manipur, Meghalaya, Assam and Nagaland apart from the national capital under the supervision of the respective KSO branches.
In Imphal centre, the test was successfully conducted at Lodestar Public School, Khongsai Veng and supervised by KSO general headquarters and KSO Imphal Branch. Around 200 applicants were received for Imphal centre alone and 166 registered candidates appeared in the test on Foundation Course and GS Mains and Optional for both Prelims and Mains preparation.
General secretary of KSO-GHQ, Shon Baite said that the rationale behind the merit based scholarship is to provide 75 percent scholarship to bright students and civil service aspirants who wish to attend coaching but unable to afford the expenses.
He continued that based on performance in the written test today, top 10 meritorious students will be awarded 75% scholarship, 50 percent for top 20 and 25 percent for top 30 while the institute is also offering 20 percent off on fees to any students who wish to enrol through KSO.
The results of test will be notified shortly by the institute through SMS and e-mail provided by the candidate, said Shon Baite.
Meanwhile, KSO has expressed its gratitude to the Lodestar Public School for their selfless support and cooperation towards the student body by providing their busy schedule apart from the school and man power assistance.
