Patna: Former Congress leader Ashok Kumar Chowdhary who recently walked out of his party to join Nitish-led Janata Dal – U, held a meeting of his supporters in Alamganj in Patna on Saturday to pledge full support to the Chief Minister in his agenda of all-round development in Bihar.
Chowdhary, who has embarked on a public relations campaign to separate himself from his old party and to warn the people of Bihar to not be fooled by the rhetoric coming from the Grand Alliance leaders, was surrounded by a number of minority leaders including Tanveer Ahmed, former MLC, who all extended their support to Chief Minister Nitish Kumar in the special elections in the state.
The former President of the Bihar Pradesh Congress Committee (BPCC) predicted win for all three NDA leaders in the special election in Araria, Jehanabad, and Bhabhua saying people of Bihar were invested in growth and development and were not going to go back to the party of do-nothing.
"The opposition candidates who believe in caste-based politics are going to lose big in all special elections in Bihar. Moreover, there is a wave of enthusiasm among the voters who have made up their mind to cast their ballots in favor of the NDA candidates. They realize that Bihar can develop only under the leadership of Nitish Kumar," he said.
