A survey by a citizen engagement platform, LocalCircles, found 57% respondents were satisfied with the Narendra Modi government.

Nearly three-fourths were happy with government’s Pakistan handling, and 54% said tax-terrorism has reduced.

Close to fourth anniversary of NDA, this survey would definitely make the ruling party happy. However, in 2016 and 2017, 64% and 61% citizens were satisfied with the government, respectively.

After the Modi government completed two years, 63% respondents felt it was tackling communalism well. This year, only 50% felt the same.

47% of those who participated in the survey believed farmers’ condition hasn’t improved in Modi regime, while 37% felt otherwise.

67% believed, this year, the Centre failed to keep a check on rising prices of commodities. Last year, this figure was 60%.

As opposed to 63% who believed the government failed to curb unemployment, this year the figure was down to 35%.

In 2016, 38% believed crimes against women and children reduced under PM Modi. This figure was 28% in 2017 and reached 32% this year.

Despite regular abuse on women and children, respondents felt the government fared better than last year.

To mark the fourth-anniversary of Narendra Modi’s government (he took office on May 26, 2014), the BJP will have a grand celebration.

The tagline of this year’s event will be ’48 months v/s 48 years’, wherein Modi will flaunt achievements of his government as opposed to the Congress regime.

The party plans to use this event to set the tone for 2019 general elections.

Each ministry has been directed to prepare a video clip highlighting their achievements, and carry on a public campaign.

The government will highlight the 100% rural electricity feat, how women benefited from Pradhan Mantri Ujjawala Yojana and the Highway ministry’s accomplishment of pushing 28 km road per day at the event.

The government will also talk about the ‘no-corruption’ track record.
