Naxals creat havoc in Gariaband district
CREATING havoc in rural areas of Gariaband district, the Naxals cut down trees and threw Naxal pamphlets on Manpur-Dhawalpur road on Monday night. According to police sources, the Naxals are frustrated by heavy losses they suffered during the recent encounter occurred under ongoing Anti-Naxal Operation. On getting information about this Naxal movement, several security forces rushed to the spot and removed the trees to smoothen traffic movement. The Naxals through their banners and pamphlets expressed anger towards recent Naxal encounter.
Terming the gun battle which occurred on May 11 as fake, Naxals appealed the villagers to support them in observing Karl Marx Jayanti. The pamphlets were thrown by NM Division Committee of banned Communist Party of India (Maoist).
Similar incident was reported in insurgency-hit Dantewada district of Chhattisgarh State also where Naxals threw pamphlets and appealed people to observe Karl Marx Jayanti. The incident occurred near Akashnagar Kathmandu Deposit No 5 under Bacheli police station limits.Taking serious cognizance over movement of Maoists in Naxal affected areas, the security forces have intensified searching operations in forested patches.
