BJP celebrates 4 years of NDA government

Dimapur, June 12 (MExN): The district units of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Nagaland observed completion of four years of BJP led National Democratic Alliance (NDA) government on June 7.


Longleng: BJP Longleng district organized the event at EBRC Hall, Longleng. Advisor for L&J/ BA/ Treasury & Account, Dr. Longri Niken hosted the programme in the presence of Imsu Yaden, State BJP vice president. A press release from B. Chemben Phom, general secretary & administration, BJP Longleng district further informed that the Advisor and the Deputy Commissioner of Longleng planted two trees at the DC office compound.


Wokha: BJP Wokha district observed the event at the district BJP office. Tovihoto Ayemi, Advisor for Power addressing party workers of the district expressed joy that Wokha, being a pioneer of Nagaland State BJP, has been consistently electing BJP representatives since its inception, stated a press release received here. He encouraged the party workers to continue their support and trust on the BJP, which he said always give recognition and support to its workers.


He also highlighted the achievements of BJP led NDA government in the Centre. Tovihoto claimed that Modi government, unlike other governments in the past, has been wholeheartedly working towards development of the North East region, the release said.


To check the existing loopholes with regard to implementation of central schemes meant for the poor, the Advisor informed party workers to stay updated with the schemes and promote the same to ensure that the schemes reach genuine beneficiaries at all levels.


Short speeches were also delivered by Jaangsiliung Gonmei and Dr. TM Lotha, ex-BJP MLA.


The BJP Wokha party workers also handed a memorandum to Advisor Tovihoto on the occasion.


Earlier, the Advisor visited the power house at Tsumang colony and planted a sapling to mark the occasion.


Zunheboto: In Zunheboto, Minister for Transport P Paiwang Konyak accompanied by State BJP spokesperson Bandi Zeliang attended the 4th year celebration of NDA government along with BJP Zunheboto unit at district headquarters.


A press release from BJP Nagaland Media Cell informed that Paiwang highlighted the achievements under NDA in the last four years, saying it focused on the downtrodden section of the people of the country.


He told the citizens that People’s Democratic Alliance (PDA) government has similar agendas in the State too, inclusive growth for all. “Only matter is time to implement the various schemes,” the release quoted him as saying. The Minister further assured that BJP is committed for the welfare of unreached sectors of the State too.


Paiwang also led the party workers in planting tree sapling in Zunheboto.
