IIIT-Hyderabad and IIT-H to organize Megathon

Hyderabad: A student hackathon, as part of which several events, seminars and workshops to cultivate entrepreneurial spirit among students, will be organized by the Entrepreneurial-cells of the International Institute of Information Technology and Indian Institute of Technology-Hyderabad here from July 15.

This year’s event, according to a press release would have four unique events, starting with a Megathon ‘18 Online Round from July 15 to August 12, themed on Women’s Safety. This event would be conducted in partnership with several NGOs such as Youngistaan Foundation, SAFA India and Being Women, and also with HackerEarth who would host it on their online platform.


The Road To Megathon ’18 would be held on September 8 and 9 at IIT Hyderabad, as part of which a series of workshops would be conducted to help develop technical skills and foster entrepreneurship in students. The workshops would cover a gamut of topics such as Android Development, Machine Learning, IoT, and Ethical Hacking.

The Onsite Megathon’18 would be on September 29 and 30, and would be themed Corporate Challenges, to be conducted at IIIT Hyderabad.

The fourth event would be Business Hack, to be conducted in February 2019 at IIT Hyderabad. More details are available on megathon.in while registrations are now open at https://megathononline.hackerearth.com.
