Upcoming Apple 6.1-inch and 6.5-inch iPhone models front panel compared
“The 2018 iPhone lineup will also have TrueDepth camera up front for 3D face scanning and creating Animojis”
Yesterday, a report revealed that Apple’s next-gen smartphones are named as the iPhone XS Plus, iPhone XS and iPhone 2018. The variants will come as a successor of the iPhone 8, iPhone 8 Plus and iPhone X that were announced last year. Now, the front panel of the alleged 6.1-inch and 6.5-inch 2018 iPhone models have been leaked online, giving us a peek at their design.
According to the new images, this year’s iPhone will continue to sport 19:9 aspect ratio notch display, just like last year’s iPhone X (review). Moreover, a closer look at the notch suggests that it will come with selfie camera, earpiece, proximity sensor and all the components of Apple’s Face ID, including an infrared camera, dot projector, and flood illuminator. Meanwhile, the rear panel of the iPhones will have vertical cameras lined up at the top-left corner.
Unfortunately, there is nothing to discuss about the new iPhones at the specs front, except that they will come in 5.8-inch, 6.1-inch, and 6.5-inch display size. Apple is likely to price the new iPhones at a starting range of $700 (~Rs 50,000), followed by $800 (~Rs 60,000) and $1000 (~Rs 70,000) for the top-most model. Considering the Apple launch cycle, then we are just a month away from the official unveiling of the next-gen iPhone models.
