Amaravati: People of Andhra Pradesh are extremely angry with PM Modi led union government  not according special status and also railway zone to Viskhapatnam as promised in the 2014 elections. No amount of protests and fasts are changing Modi government’s stand.
Under these circumstances TDP MP created sensation rewriting railway history. Railway Board finally decided to transfer the historical railway school to city administration in Rajamundry following the representation given by TDP MP Murali Mohan.
Murali Mohan speaking to scribes informed that Railway Board Director DV.Rao issued orders to South Central GDM regarding transfer of the school. This is the first time in the history of Railways to transfer a railway school to local administration. Currently the Railway school in Rajamundry is having 200 students from 6-to10 standard.
Railway School will be starting Junior College from next year. Officials started shutting down various sections step by step citing lack of children from the railway employees in the school . Railways in 2017 directed Railway schools to close down and stop taking admissions in Bitragunta,Nellore,Vijaywada and Rajamundry. Rajamundry MP Murali Mohan after knowing this from the parents, visited the school and got moved as the school had many poor students and is full of good facilities. He at once travelled to Secunderabad by train and just before the closure of schools one day ahead,. He ensured that the school get transferred to Rajamundry authority. Railways agreed to handover the school buildings to Rajamundry GMC on rental basis and said they have given full powers to the South Central GM to take appropriate action.
