Vote in our poll: Gunner Government’s controversial floor price policy
THE controversial alcohol floor price has been in place in the Territory since October 1.
The floor price means there is a minimum charge of $1.30 per standard drink.
This means a 750ml bottle of wine containing 7.7 standard drinks can’t be sold for less than $10.01. It also means a two-litre cask of wine containing 21.4 standard drinks can’t be sold for less than $27.82.
The floor price has also seen an increase in the cost of some beers and cooking wine.

The Gunner Government is the first in Australia to introduce an across-the-board floor price.
They made the decision based on evidence that a floor price will reduce alcohol-related harm in the community.
