Saraswathi Yagam performed in Vijayawada

Vijayawada: A large number of students were seen at the Sri Durga Malleswara Swamy Devastanam on the auspicious day of Mulanakshatram here on Sunday. 
The temple priest conducted the Saraswathi Yagam special puja on the occasion and gave his blessings to the students. 
The temple authorities decided to perform Saraswathi Yagam on the occasion and the temple priests distributed Goddess Durga Kankanam, pens and books to the students after the completion of the Yagam. 
According to temple EO V Koteswaramma the rituals were performed on an auspicious day to ensure better results for the students in their upcoming examinations.
