The near production ready car was recently spotted testing and new spy shots suggest that it will come with an AMT transmission borrowed from the Santro. The interiors will also be redesigned and will get several Santro inspired panels. As with the interiors, the exteriors of the new car will also get a boost and get a sharper design with Hyundai spindle grille taking the centre stage up front. However, the engines will remain the same as on the current model. A larger, floating type touch screen infotainment system is also expected to come on the car.

Expected launch by: May

Hyundai will unveil the much anticipated Venue sub-4 meter SUV on the 17th of April but the launch will only happen by May. Though Hyundai may be a bit late in the sub-4 meter SUV game, the manufacturer has compensated for that by filling the Venue to the brim with features. It will come with several segment first connectivity features and also a Vodafone e-SIM for internet connectivity. the exterior design is inspired by bigger Hyundai SUVs, though the braces like front grille could be done away with. As for the engines, it will come with three engine options along with a dual clutch transmission on offer. Engine options include a 1.4 litre petrol, a 1.4-litre diesel and a 1.0-litre petrol turbocharged unit.

Hyundai’s foray into EVs in India will be in the form of the Kona EV. It will be launched in the fourth quarter of this year. The Hyundai Kona will be brought via the CKD route and later on will be developed locally in order to keep prices in check. Internationally, the Kona gets two different 2 battery pack options. The first is a 39.2 kWh battery pack that has a range of about 310 km while the other is a 64 kWh battery unit with a range of 480 km.
