Cannes Film Festival: Eva Longoria risks fashion mishap

The Advertiser 2019-05-15 08:02:00

Hollywood actress Eva Longoria very nearly suffered a wardrobe malfunction after she stepped out in a jaw-dropping gown with a dangerously daring slit.

The 44-year-old walked the red carpet at the opening night of the 72nd Cannes Film Festival on Tuesday evening in a glamorous blush designer dress.

But she soon found herself in a compromising position, as a gust of wind appeared to blow the racy gown apart — potentially giving onlookers more than they bargained for.

Luckily, Eva kept her cool, grabbing the material of her dress with her hands and preventing

an embarrassing wardrobe malfunction.

Despite her outfit mishap, the mum-of-one stunned at the glitzy event, rocking her custom satin gown by designer Alberta Ferretti.

She styled the off-the shoulder look with loose waves, adding an extra sprinkle of sparkle with her earrings.

The former Desperate Housewives star shared a red carpet photo of herself wearing the sequin embroidered and draped bustier and attention-grabbing train with her fans on Instagram who loved her risky thigh-high split.

“The calves on you gal,” one said, marvelling her killer pins on show in the outfit.

“Look at her legs,” another remarked.

“That major slit is giving me life,” someone else commented.

While other compliments on her outfit included branding the look “sublime”, “gorgeous” and “breathtaking”.

INTENSE PREP FOR CANNES

In the run-up to the screening of The Dead Don’t Die, Eva joked about dieting withUs Weekly.

“I’m eating air,” she teased in the interview, before explaining she’s not on any sort of eating or fitness plan. “When I get to Cannes, I’m going to be drinking some wine,” she added.

Despite her remarks, the mum — who welcomed son Santi with husband Jose Baston in June last year — regularly shares videos of her gruelling workouts with fans.

In one video, shared a week ago, she described her gym efforts as “six months of torture”.
