Disgruntled NC, PDP Leaders To Flout Third Front In J&K12 June, 2019, By Cross Town News
SRINAGAR, June 12: An important development in Jammu and Kashmir’s political panorama is waiting in wings with senior leaders of main political parties set to join hands and form a ‘Third Front’.
Sources privy to this development have divulged that that the few former legislators hailing from national conference, Congress and a veteran PDP leader will come together and constitute a conglomerate that they will call a Third Front. This party, said sources, will contest the forth coming state elections and is expected to win maximum number of seats .
Speculations are also rife that the Front will be headed by the PDP veteran who already is much disgruntled with his party and had even earlier threatened to leave and join the rival camp. However, then, the leader in question was pacified by the top brass and his departure was foiled through party’s unanimous efforts.
However, this time, the veteran, as per the reports, is adamant to bid adieu to PDP and head the new political group.
Furthermore, it is being revealed that some senior ex- legislators of the national conference, Congress and those who contested as independents will also be part of the new front with emphasis being laid to make it emerge as a viable alternative which will have a major say in the government formation after the state elections- likely being held this year in November.
