Jaipur serial rapist of minors arrested
New Delhi, July 7: Jaipur police arrested a 34-year-old man named Sikandar from Kota on Saturday for abducting and raping the seven-year-old girl in Shastri Nagar.
The accused is a serial criminal who earlier also abducted and raped the four-year-child from Shastri Nagar area on June 22. The accused is a notorious criminal who targeted children and had earlier been sentenced for life for sodomising and killing a minor boy.
After abducting the girl from Shastri Nagar area Sikandar took her to an isolated place and allegedly raped her, assaulted her before dumping her at a place near her home. The accused then fled from the city and was arrested from Kota.
Police then managed to trace his phone location but found that he had given his phone to a friend who provided crucial clues while questioning.
“He had killed a minor for which he was sentenced for life. The incident happened in 2004 in Murlipura area. He sodomised a 11-year-old minor boy and later killed him brutally by drowning him in a water tank. He remained in jail till 2015. But, that was not the end of his journey of crime.” Jaipur police commissioner Anand Srivastava was quoted as saying.
“In November 2017, he attempted to molest two minor girls in Bhatta Basti area of the city. When the police reached the spot following a complaint, he attacked an additional sub-inspector with a rod and fled from the city evading arrest,” Jaipur police commissioner Anand Srivastava added.
Sikandar has a total of 11 criminal cases registered against him, including stealing motorbikes.
