BJP office burnt down in West Bengal, allegations against TMC workers
Kolkata: A BJP office in West Burdwan district of West Bengal was set ablaze, with BJP workers accusing the Trinamool Congress (TMC) of being behind the incident. A senior police officer said that a BJP party office in Asansol's Salanpur area was burnt to ashes on Sunday night, the cause of the fire is being investigated.
The BJP has accused the TMC of the incident. But the ruling party in West Bengal has denied the party being behind any such incident, TMC says that this is the result of a mutual fight between BJP goons. Under the initiative of Union Minister and local MP Babul Supriyo, BJP workers distributed blankets to the tribals in the area on Sunday morning, following which TMC workers set our party office on fire.
BJP leader Abhijeet Roy has said that many other BJP offices in the area have been closed by TMC in the past. The popularity of our party is increasing, due to which the TMC activists are using this kind of gimmicks. Rejecting the allegations, TMC MLA Bidhan Upadhyay of Salanpur said that the incident was the result of infighting between BJP goons.
