Man Utd abandon training camp in Middle East as tensions rise and World War 3 fear builds
Manchester United have scrapped plans to hold a mid-season training camp in Qatar on account of escalating tensions in the middle east. The Premier League giants had intended to travel to Doha when the Premier League takes its inaugural winter break early next month. But with security advice stressing they might become a target, the trip – believed to be to a sports complex in the Qatari capital – has been deemed too much of a risk. United are now looking at Europe instead with Spain the most likely destination. “We were looking at the middle east but that is definitely not going to happen,” said Solskjaer.
