The Undertaker Wanted To Take His WWE Wrestlemania Streak To 25-0
The Undertaker is infamous for his legendary entrances. That gong hits the arena as it gets darkened and smoke would fill the entrance area with walls of fire. The whole atmosphere creates the perfect backdrop for the Deadman to make his way to the ring. In comparison to other WWE superstars, The Undertaker usually takes a bit longer to get to the ring.
While speaking with Pardon My Take, revealed why his entrances are usually so long. He mentioned that it was actually up to his opponent waiting for him in the ring. He stated that if his opponent was a bit less experienced then he got his ‘money’s worth’ out of the entrance.
Generally, The Undertaker remains a marquee attraction who remains dominant in the scheduled match. For an inexperienced superstar, it would create a shorter match and the fans wouldn’t be much disappointed.
During the same interview, The Undertaker has also talked about the legendary WrestleMania winning streak that ended when Brock Lesnar pinned him at WrestleMania 30. It took his record at 21-1 handing him a loss, a very few ever thought of digesting. But it did happen to make people stunned.
While speaking to Pardon My Take, The Undertaker revealed how long he wanted the streak to last. If it was up to him he wouldn’t have scripted a loss at the show of shows until picking up at least 25 wins in a row. But at the end of the day, it was purely a call taken by none other than Vince McMahon who doubted that no one would ever beat The Undertaker except for Brock Lesnar. So he decided to do it,
For the fans, it might have been a nice experience to see The Undertaker taking his streak further. His wife, Michelle McCool was quite open about how her husband shouldn’t have lost at his home-turf of WrestleMania. But it eventually ended up happening on two separate occasions. Apart from Lesnar, Roman Reigns also defeated The Phenome at WrestleMania 33.
