Oppo has officially unveiled a new mid-range smartphone Reno 4 Pro in India. This is a phone same as the one announced in China last month but with a few differences here and there. The Indian variant could also be the global version that gets sold everywhere outside China. The major differences are in the choice of processor and camera sensors.

The Oppo Reno 4 Pro sports a 6.5-inch Full HD+ (2400 x 1080 pixels) AMOLED display that is being marketed as the 3D Borderless Sense Super display. This is a fancy name for the curved display panel which also has a 90Hz refresh rate and 120Hz touch sampling rate. It also has a punch-hole in the top left corner that houses the 32-megapixel Sony IMX686 selfie shooter.

Under the hood, it has the Qualcomm Snapdragon 720G processor paired with 8GB of RAM. The phone has 128GB onboard UFS 2.1 storage which is the only configuration released. The quad-camera setup on the back includes a 48-megapixel Sony IMX686 primary sensor with f/1.7 aperture, an 8-megapixel ultra wide-angle sensor, a 2-megapixel macro sensor, and a 2-megapixel depth sensor. All these sensors are vertically aligned towards the top left corner.

The whole package is powered by a 4,000mAh battery with 65W SuperVOOC 2.0 fast charging support. There is also a Super Power Saving Mode that is meant to help users get the most out of low battery level. On the software front, it will run ColorOS 7.2 based on Android 10 out of the box and yes, it also has an in-display fingerprint scanner.

Oppo has priced the Reno 4 Pro at Rs. 34,999 for the sole 8GB/128GB variant. There are two color variants: Starry Night and Starry White. The sales will begin on August 5th via a number of online and offline stores.
