New Delhi: The Indian Air Force on Tuesday is reported to have deployed the the indigenous fighter Light Combat Aircraft (LCA) Tejas on the western front along the Pakistan border. The development comes amid border tensions with China.

After the induction of the first two squadrons, Prime Minister Narendra Modi during his independence day speech, said that the deal for the 83 Mark1A LCAs will be finalised soon.

“The LCA Tejas was deployed by the Indian Air Force on the western front close to the Pakistan border to take care of any possible action by the adversary there,” government sources were quoted as saying by news agency ANI.
